A day before the new year, this rare moon appeared:
They call this moon as the Blue Moon on New Year’s Eve, a rare extra full moon that appeared on December 31, 2009.
This is the second full moon in the month of December since a full moon has also appeared on December 2.
New Year’s Eve Blue Moon usually appear every 19 years.
Thus, the next New Year’s Eve Blue Moon will appear on Year 2028. But other Blue Moon events will happen on 2012 and 2015.
We must all be glad with this once in a lifetime event.
