Sugod.com is a popular website about filipino football. It offers a photo gallery, a wiki, and a news section to every visitor.
It started as a wikipedia-type, and forum. The growth was tremendous over the first few days. However, due to lack of manpower, and financial capability, some services were removed in April 2010. However, in November 2010, one of it, a revamped Sugod Soccer, was re-opened for public use.
In 2011, the computer and lyrics sections were transferred to another domain.
Webmaster’s Background
The webmaster had experience operating with different domains and websites for 6 years. The remaining and most successful properties, as of 2010, were Sugod.com, and BrandingYP.com. Other domains were sold to different webmasters after revenue and traffic growth have been on a down trend.
The website is powered by different web development platforms: WordPress 3, Gallery 3, and Mediawiki 16.
The owner of this website, a full-blooded filipino, does web-development as a hobby and update contents during his free time. He graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
