Haiti Earthquake devastates lives and properties

On January 2010, Haiti was strucked by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that destroyed buildings and properties.

The 10th Philippine Peacekeeping Contingent, commanded by Lt. Col. Lope Dagoy, serving with the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti were also affected by the said natural disaster as well as other 400 Filipinos working in Haiti.

Today, it is estimated that dead bodies range between 50,000 to 100,000 including U.N.’s chief of mission in Haiti, Tunisian diplomat Hedi Annabi.
