Family plea for cancellation of Sen. Lacson’s passport

The family of Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito plead for the cancellation of Senator Panfilo Lacson’s passport. The senator was accused of being the mastermind in the November 2000 double murder case against Dacer and Corbito. (MB.com.ph)

Currently, Senator Lacson’s lawyer Alex Avisado filed a pending motion for the determination of probable cause before the Manila City Regional Trial Court Branch 18 as well as motion for reconsideration and motion for inhibition. (source)

Lacson fled the country last January 5, a day before he was indicted for the Dacer case. A warrant of arrest has been issued against him, although government agents have yet to pinpoint his exact location. But some people said that he was found in Rome. (source)
