Quirino Grandstand – Place of Positives and Negatives

Year 2010, a positive and negative year for the Quirino Grandstand. After May 2010 elections, Quirino Grandstand was the inaugural place for President Benigno Aquino III. An event which gave hope to every filipino in the country and the world.

However, just months later, a certain ex-police inspector took hostage a tourist bus consisting of Hong Kong Tourists. An event that the world had seen in real-time on tv.

These are two events took the Philippines up and down. The Quirino Grandstand is becoming a place of historical events.

Other events that took place includes the Philippine Centennial Celebration, a world record roman catholic mass by Pope John Paul II to 5 million people, and the 1995 World Youth Day.
