Eat Bulaga now Philippines’ supreme noon time show

Eat Bulaga took a very large share of the market after its fiercest rival: Wowowee has been officially cancelled by the ABS-CBN management. According to AGB Nielsen’s July 20-21 ratings survey, GMA-7s Eat Bulaga has a rating of 8% while ABS-CBN’s Wowowee only takes 4.7%.

That’s a very wide gap between the two (2) shows. As most of us know, Wowowee’s downfall was felt after losing its founding host: Willie Revillame.

However, Eat Bulaga deserves to be on that throne. It is one of the longest running show in the country popularly known for its hosts Tito, Vic & Joey as well as its novelty creations like the Pinoy Henyo, EB Babes, Sex Bomb Dancers, and Dabarkads.

After 30 years (3 decades) of noon-time variety show entertainment, Eat Bulaga still stand strong and has increasing number of regular hosts in the likes of Pia Guanio, Ruby Rodriguez, Jimmy Santos, Keempee de Leon, Anjo Yllana, Allan K., Toni Rose Gayda, Jose Manalo, Daiana Menezes, Pauleen Luna, Ciara Sotto, Wally Bayola, and Julia Clarete.
