Maynilad customers in some areas had water shortage

In places such as Caloocan, Navotas, and Malabon… water is plenty during rainy seasons and you could see it on the street. But today, there seemed to be a problem and its the opposite. Almost all of the Maynilad customers doesn’t have water in their homes. As of today, most of them only depend on water rations from the company.

One of my friend is living in those affected areas and he said they were lucky since the truck that distributes water ration stopped in front of their house and they were able to get a considerable amount of water. But the rest were angry and pleaded on the truck driver to come back and provide them water.

According to GMA News TV, the reasons for the disruption was due to the low water level in the Angat Dam. In an official statement from the company, they said that they “will implement rotating water schedules in eleven cities in Metro Manila and the nearby province of Cavite until July 23 due to a 30-percent cut in the water supply it has been receiving from the Angat Dam.”
