Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

Vancouver 2010 started with the declaration of the official mascots: Sumi, Quatchi, and Miga.

Then several countries fight for medals in different snow and ice sporting events namely: Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic Combined, Short Track, Speed Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, and Snowboard.

Now the end is near.. Let’s check the medal table…

USA currently leads with 24 medals followed by Germany with 18 and Norway with 12.

Unfortunately, there was one memorable event before the start of competitions and that is the death of a luger: Nodar Kumaritashvili.
