Ateneo de Manila University is now the best in the Philippines
QS Quacquarelli Symonds Limited’s TopUniversities.com ranks Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) as the no. 1 university in the Philippines and Asia’s 58th ranked university as of May 16, 2010. It is followed by University of the Philippines (UP), University of Santo Tomas (UST), and De La Salle University (DLSU) respectively.

The new Asian University rankings for 2010 saw Ateneo with a strengthened position at no. 58 which is 26 ranks higher than its no. 84 position in year 2009. This was due to greater achievements in academics, sports, entertainment, and other extra-curricular activities.
One of its most prolific achiever is Chris Tiu who got into entertainment as host of several shows and in sports through the Smart Gilas RP National Team.
And those achievements might be surpassed by a new batch of freshmen enrollees for academic year 2010-2011 composed of pure and half-blooded filipinos as well as students from foreign lands who passed the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET).
Furthermore, we hope that the country increase the number of universities in the Asian rankings with Far Eastern University and Mindanao State University as great contenders. (Sorry I am biased. LOL!)
