Philippine National Elections has ended. Live Results from Yahoo! Purple Thumb and TVAdik.

The Philippine National Election has just ended and voters are now on their way home to wait for the election results that might be released tomorrow. Still, the Commission on Election (COMELEC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other non-government organizations are busy monitoring the sending of votes, and protect the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI).

During the election, several problems were encountered including the alleged rampant vote buying using cash reaching over 3,000 pesos & free grocery package in several places in the country, manipulation of voters by incumbent local officials, complains about small “bilog na hugis itlog”, failure of election in some areas in the country, several voters going home due to long lines in the polling precincts and the inability to find their assigned precincts as well as lots of election related violence.

I even saw a startling comment on Yahoo! Philippines’ Purple Thumb. Our Mark. Our Vote. regarding vote buying:

tanggapin ang pera iboto ang kursunada

Another problem is that the Comelec Precinct Finder at Comelec.gov.ph is inaccessible. Sugod.com have tried several times but with no success. There is an error with the asp code.
