Sugod.com is a website about football in the Philippines and Asia subdivided into two different sections: news, and wiki.

The news sections offers up-to-date information about football in the Philippines and Asia.

The wiki section provides ‘sticky’ information of local players, officials, competitions, and other football-related content.

HISTORY
Sugod.com started as a website of everything powered by mediawiki, and wordpress platform.

The growth was tremendous over the first few days, however, due to lack of manpower, and financial capability, some services were removed in April 2010 such as forum and wiki. But 7 months later, a revamped Sugod Association Football wiki was re-opened for public use.

A year later, the computer and lyrics sections were transferred to another domain on June 2011. On August 2011, the photo gallery section was removed due to copyright problems and issues with owners and photographers.

WEBMASTER’S BACKGROUND

The webmaster had vast experience operating with different domains and websites for 7 years with the remaining and most successful properties, as of 2011, were Sugod.com, and BrandingYP.com while other domains were sold to different webmasters after revenue and traffic growth have been on a down trend.

The owner of this website is a full-blooded filipino who does web-development as a hobby and update contents during his free time. He graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and has worked in an anti-virus company.
